Cookie policy

This page explains which cookies EVArena uses and how you can manage your consent.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. They are used to remember settings and — with consent — to display ads.

Types of cookies

Essential: required for the site to work, e.g. the cookies of the Google consent window, which remember your decision, and the cookie of your chosen interface language (NEXT_LOCALE, valid for one year). No consent required.

Advertising (Google AdSense): used only after you consent to ads in the consent window. Google and its advertising partners use their own cookies for ad personalisation and measurement.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4): set only after you consent to measurement in the consent window. They measure site traffic: which pages are viewed and where visitors come from. Cookies _ga and _ga_<id>, valid for up to 2 years. They are not used to identify you.

Browser storage (localStorage): besides cookies we keep small settings and choices in your browser — for example the cars you picked for comparison or the models you viewed recently. This data stays on your device, never reaches us, and you can delete it together with the site data in your browser settings.

Managing consent

On your first visit we show a consent window where you can accept everything, decline, or choose individual purposes. You can change or withdraw your decision at any time with the “Change consent settings” button at the bottom of this page. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings, and the window will appear again.

Third-party cookies

Ads are served by Google together with the advertising partners listed in the consent window. How Google uses data from partner sites is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can turn off personalised ads at https://adssettings.google.com. Visit statistics are collected by Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited), also only with your consent.
